SABA X UNICEF USA: FUNDRAISER FOR PAKISTAN FLOOD RELIEF, WHAT’S HAPPENING IN PAKISTAN? | MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 8PM EST
Join SABA North America, SABA North America’s Foundation and UNICEF USA for a Fundraiser for Pakistani Flood Relief on Monday November 28 at 8:00 pm ET. Director of Global Cause Partnerships at UNICEF USA, Mansi Mehta and President of SABA North America Foundation, Sa’adiyah Masoud, will discuss the current situation in Pakistan in the aftermath of severe and record breaking flooding earlier this year and UNICEF USA’s relief efforts to date. They will also be joined by Austin Chu, Assistant Director of Global Cause Partnerships at UNICEF USA, currently on stretch assignment in Pakistan, who will offer an invaluable on-the-ground perspective on how relief funds are being used.
UNICEF staff are on the ground right now distributing critical supplies including safe drinking water, medical supplies and vaccines, therapeutic food supplies and hygiene kits for children and families. UNICEF is also establishing temporary learning centers and looking after the protection and psychosocial well-being of children caught up in the climate change-related crisis. Despite the challenges accessing some parts of the country, UNICEF has already delivered lifesaving humanitarian supplies worth $1 million. However more support is urgently needed as supplies need to be replenished.
